The current requirement of inspecting industrial process pipes and vessels for signs of rusting and corrosion is, stripping insulation materials and the outer protective cladding (Tin or steel). This material is generally neither reused nor recycled, this ‘Waste’ material is required to be taken from site and either destroyed or land filled. Statistics show that only 20% of this waste material needs to be removed as 80% is found to be dry and integrally sound, with no signs of rusting or corrosion on the substrate. When fitted and monitored correctly H2Obvious allows for huge reduction in this thankless and costly task of stripping and wasteful disposal, as it identifies exactly where there are fluids present, should there be no fluids present, there is no risk of corrosion CUI and so the insulation materials need not be stripped for inspection purposes, with the needless waste materials this inspection incurs.
