IMAP Auditors survey
an organization’s insulation systems for the purpose of identifying
opportunities to maximize energy efficiency and reduce green house gas
emmisions. This includes a detailed audit of the insulation systems on
piping and equipment and recommending repairs and/or replacement of
insulation systems to increase overall plant operating efficiency.
An
IMAP Auditor is an experienced professional trained in the use of the IMAP
proprietary software and is a certified “insulation energy appraiser” and
“Infrared Thermographer” who can focus on the job at hand and is an
experienced professional capable of accessing the necessary repairs
required on all of the piping systems and equipment
What
does an Insulation Auditor do?
-
Conduct audits
on insulation systems and develop a thermal insulation efficiency
management plan
-
Conduct an
insulation audit to identify energy saving opportunities throughout the
facility
-
Recommends
repair of insulation systems to optimize efficiency of operating
conditions
-
Evaluate and
present insulation energy efficiency opportunities
-
Define thermal
insulation efficiency targets and review performance against targets
-
Identify potential
Corrosion Under Insulation (CUI) problems
IMAP Audits Inc. developed a systematic approach to meet preventative
maintenance requirements. Using IMAP’s leading edge technology, audits are
conducted to identify where problems exist and the physical condition of
the systems. Results of the audit are tracked using IMAP’s leading edge
software by integrating audit results into engineer’s drawings and plant
isometrics and incorporating digital imaging for ease of identification.
These records become an invaluable risk management tool. By identifying
where problems exist, prioritizing maintenance requirements and how to
approach repairs if problems exists, increases plant safety and reduces
business risk exponentially.
